Scholarships and awards in Electrical and Computer Engineering

Undergraduates

Scholarships. The Office of Student Development administers several scholarships that especially target Electrical and Computer Engineering students, including

The Joanne and Robert M. Chiusano Engineering Scholarship. One scholarship awarded annually with preference given to female junior or senior majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
The L.A. Ware Scholarship. One or two scholarships awarded annually to an outstanding student in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
The Gannon Samek Memorial Scholarship Fund. An annual award made to an Iowa resident majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Mid-American Energy Funds. Through the generosity of Mid-American Energy, the department will partially pay fees for undergraduate ECE students who successfully pass the FE Exam. Funds are also available for equipment related to senior design projects. Please see Dina Blanc in 4016 SC for more information.

Graduate Students

A limited number of scholarships of $8,000 above and beyond the graduate assistantship are available. Preference wil be given to students who have already obtained their Masters' degree. Applicants will supply: a statement of research interests, examples of previously published work in English (if any), and examples of active participation at research conferences, if any.
