Admissions information

• The Office of Graduate Admissions provides general information for students wishing to pursue graduate study at The University of Iowa.
• A letter from the ECE Graduate Committee addressed to interested international students clarifies the application process for non-U.S. citizens.
• International Student Preapplication - All International Students are required to fill out a preapplication form before a Graduate College application can be submitted. Failure to submit a preapplication and receive a "Submit your application" entitled email from the ECE Department, before submitting the Graduate College Application may result in denial of admission.
• The Graduate College Application is available here as an online application, as a downloadable application, or via an online request form for a print application. These options are available to both international students and U.S. citizens.

• ECE Graduate Manual outlines the requirements needed for the MS and Ph.D. programs in ECE.

Student opportunities & services

• The UI International Programs provide support and opportunities for international students attending The University of Iowa.
• The UI Computing Services and the College of Engineering's Computing Services each provide computer equipment and support for engineering students.
